Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician Job Description Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems with company equipment such as production equipment, warehouse bay doors, electrical systems, and heating and cooling systems. Repairs equipment according to established company standards and performs preventative maintenance including lubrication of machines and conveyor belt replacement. Performs changeovers on production line equipment to minimize downtime during production runs and communicates with co-workers, internal customers, and supervisors regarding equipment repair needs. Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with production equipment, electrical systems, and mechanical systems. Repair equipment according to established company standards. Perform preventative maintenance on company equipment according to established guidelines. Adhere to all company policies, standards, and procedures, including OSHA and safety requirements. Perform changeovers on production line equipment to minimize downtime during production runs. Communicate with co-workers, internal customers, and supervisors regarding equipment repair needs. Complete preventative maintenance records, work order forms, time-off requests, and other required paperwork. Work assigned schedule with regular and predictable attendance and work overtime as needed. Order parts and maintain parts inventory. Maintain cleanliness of work area and assist in the organization of the maintenance shop. Essential Skills Electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems knowledge. Experience in motor repair and gearboxes. Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic systems. Experience working with electrical systems up to 480V. Maintenance and troubleshooting of conveyor systems. Preventive maintenance skills. Additional Skills Experience in bottling and plastics industries. Knowledge of ladder logic and VFD. Experience with motors and filling equipment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
