General Production Worker

Laser Operator $20-22/hr. Looking for Candidates in the Plain City, Dublin, Hilliard, West Side of Columbus & Surrounding Areas THIS IS LONG TERM EMPLOYMENT! Job Description Candidates will be responsible for assisting with the operation of a tube laser. As the assistant, individuals will be monitoring the cutting of the laser and checking the finished cuts of the laser. They will be trained on how to make minor adjustments to the machine. Individuals will be eventually cross-trained in different departments such as the finishing department and will also be trained on how to operate a flat laser. Responsibilities Assist with the operation of a tube laser. Monitor the cutting of the laser and check the finished cuts. Make minor adjustments to the laser machine as needed. Cross-train in different departments such as the finishing department. Train on how to operate a flat laser. Essential Skills At least 2+ years' experience performing machine operation within a production environment. At least 2+ years' experience working as a general production worker in a production environment. Experience in general production and machine operation. Experience with editing and blueprint reading. Familiarity with laser operation, deburring, grinding, and polishing. Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience operating a CNC/laser operating machine. Experience in grinding, polishing, and deburring. Previous experience reading blueprints. Experience utilizing micrometers, calipers, or any other measuring equipment. Work Environment This position is within a metal fabrication manufacturing company. The work environment is fairly clean but not climate controlled. Shifts available are: 1st shift from 6:50am - 3pm Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plain City, OH Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
