OID proudly serves over 80,000 acres of agricultural land and more than 700 domestic water customers across Stanislaus County. We are committed to delivering reliable, high-quality irrigation and domestic water services that support our region’s farms and families.

Position: Construction and Maintenance Worker

Department: Construction and Maintenance
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $32.20 - $39.14 per hour
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including CalPERS retirement

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled duties in the construction, repair, cleaning, and maintenance of irrigation canals, pipelines, pump lines, ditches and related structures
  • Work under an Alternative Work Schedule (AWS) – either a 4/10 or 9/80 schedule

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Experience: Two years of general construction and maintenance work preferred, especially in irrigation related infrastructure
  • Education: Basic reading, writing, and math skills required
  • Licensing: Valid California driver’s license with a good driving record. Must o btain a Class “A” license within six months of hire or assignment to this classification
