Position Summary:

The Facilities Manager will be responsible for daily facilities and maintenance operations of the Columbus office. This includes facilities management, management of on-site maintenance team and third-party maintenance providers. The Facilities Manager will also support general administrative functions such as accounts payable, space planning, maintenance and repairs. This position will serve as the first point of escalation for problem solving and troubleshooting service issues in the Columbus office. The Facilities Manager will also support the Director of Operations and Chief Facilities Officer on firm wide capital project management - such as office build-outs and moves.

Essential Functions:

Manage assigned direct reports in the Facilities department. Participate with Chief Facilities Officer and Director of Operations in staff engagement, training, discipline, education and performance discussions within the Facilities department.

Assist with the creation and evaluation of legacy department materials related to business continuity, training and project records.

Develop and implement goals for direct reports. Track and report on goal progress within the performance management system.

Maintain relationships with valued vendors to ensure open communication and continued cost effective service.

Conduct project management for facilities and real estate projects for Columbus facilities and act as a backup for firmwide projects. Assist with department and firm strategic initiatives.

Provide secondary contact representing the firm with vendors and service providers. Serve as backup for Director of Operations during periods of absence or as requested.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Significant knowledge of building operations, facilities and technology support in a professional environment

Proven facilities management and vendor negotiation and communication skills

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with all levels of the Firm

Ability to manage, organize, prioritize and complete multiple projects with various deadlines simultaneously

Working knowledge and understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable and budget process in a facilities management environment

Excellent managerial and leadership skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft applications

Basic knowledge of building maintenance including electrical, mechanical, plumbing etc.

Deadline oriented in a fast-paced environment

High degree of professionalism

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in related discipline or combination of equivalent education and experience.

3 - 5 years of experience in similar field.

1-2 years in legal or professional offices services industry preferred.
