Maintenance Technician & Packer Positions

Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities:

• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, and HACCP protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintenance and Repair: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Facility Upkeep: Ensure the facility's infrastructure is well-maintained, addressing any building or utility issues promptly.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent, often utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance staff and production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.

Qualifications:

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years in industrial maintenance or something comparable, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairing complex machinery.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints; experience with PLCs, electrical systems, is preferred.
• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required; additional technical training or certifications in maintenance or a related field are a plus.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
• Shift Requirements: Availability to work off shift hours, which may vary but generally occur in the afternoon and evening.

Position: Packer

• Know the proper Personal Protective Equipment, Good Manufacturing Practices compliances and sanitary procedures required to work on the floor and understand the purpose of them.
• Pack components into their corrugate boxes in an organized fashion.
• Keep a steady pace while packing without falling behind in the tempo at which the machine is producing components.
• Monitor all components that are produced for any quality defects.
• Be vigilant of the production machine and what is going on in the surrounding area, serving as a back-up to the machine operator.
• Know what to do to further assist productivity and efficiency when the machine is experiencing any downtime.
• During downtime, responsibilities include, but are not limited to, making corrugate boxes, palletizing completed boxes, cleaning the machine area, discarding scrap into the bailer, and general cleaning.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Requires handling of objects up to 50lbs or standing/or walking for more than eight (8) hours per day
• Reliable regarding attendance and performance
• Connected to quality of work
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments
• Reliable transportation
