CNC Lathe Machinist

CNC Lathe Machinist Job Description We are a well-established, very healthy and stable precision motion control component manufacturer, in a state-of-the-art facility, doing business for over 50 years. We have a strong customer base and an excellent reputation for quality. We are in search of a machinist to setup and operate medium size CNC lathes - both barfeeders and the person (OKUMA / NAKAMURA). Pay: $30-$34/hr Shift: 1st shift Responsibilities Set up and productively operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations, with the ability to read and edit programs (G codes / M codes) Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations Select and install cutting tools, adjust machine settings, and monitor the machining process to ensure quality and accuracy Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications Make adjustments to machine settings as necessary to maintain product quality Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls and programming Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operations Ability to assemble, disassemble, and troubleshoot machinery Proficient in the use of hand tools and precision measuring instruments Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, Massachusetts. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.
