JOB SUMMARY:
The Gearbox Assembler is responsible for assembling gear reducers, gear motors, and other drive components per information on work order. The assembler is responsible for testing units and troubleshooting problems associated with Gearbox Assembly.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assemble gearboxes to work order instructions.
- Check work orders for accuracy.
- Visually check parts for quality.
- Test units for audible noises.
- Rework and correct any noise or leakage problems.
- Work related to maintaining the 5S program and Kanban system.
- Be an active participant in the company's suggestion, quality, efficiency, and cost savings programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Previous assembly experience preferred.
Skills and Key Attributes:
Ability to read and write. Basic math skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up-to 50 lbs. Ability to stand on feet and move around for up to 10-12 hours per day.
