Job Title: Pump Mechanic
Job Description
A pump services and manufacturing facility has an immediate need for a Pump Mechanic to join their team. The candidate will be working with hand tools, power tools, and performing mechanical assembly of pumps mounted on skid units. The ideal candidate must have experience reading blueprints, performing laser alignments, using dial indicators, and balancing impellers.
Responsibilities
Perform mechanical assembly of pumps mounted on skid units.
Use hand tools and power tools effectively.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and P&ID's.
Perform laser alignments and use dial indicators.
Balance impellers as required.
Drill and tap holes accurately.
Essential Skills
5+ years of pump assembly/repair experience.
Proficiency in using measuring tools like laser alignment and dial indicators.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and P&ID's.
Capability to drill and tap holes.
Possession of own hand tools up to 1 combination wrenches and drive wrench sets.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with rotating equipment is a plus.
Ability to work on compressors.

Work Environment
The work environment is a non-air-conditioned pump manufacturing shop. The position operates on the first shift from 6AM to 4PM, Monday through Friday, with Saturdays as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Katy, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
