Process and Startup Technician

Responsibilities:

• Startup and commission new equipment according to plans created by the Startup Manager
• Provide hands-on training to customers
• Conduct pilot testing according to plans created by Process Engineer
• Collect data and prepare written reports
• Assist process engineers in test plans for onsite and inhouse trials
• Communicate with Flottweg SE (FWSE), our parent company in Germany, via phone and email.
• Support and communicate with FWSE, Engineering, Sales, and Aftermarket.
• Learn the capabilities and features & benefits of the entire product line and develop the capacity to select equipment for various applications.
• Coordinate internally on the diagnosis and troubleshooting of equipment problems in the field.
• Travel with sales and aftermarket periodically to become exposed to customers and applications in the various regions and markets.
• Troubleshoot a variety of different aftermarket process and electrical issues.  Help with different programming and process upgrades.
• Travel to FWSE periodically for training.

 Qualifications:

• This role will require a well-rounded understanding of mechanical, electrical/controls, and process systems.
• The position will require the candidate to become an internal expert of the equipment and the processes/systems of our customers.
• An ability to handle many open projects that are time critical and ever changing is essential.
• English fluency required.
  • Spanish, French, German, or Portuguese language skills are a plus.

• Must be able to travel in North America and Europe as required (75%)
